Hi, all you have to do is at the main menu, go to the configuration and then choose video modes. Choose the OpenGL mode, it's the best and most stable mode of Counter-Strike. When you play it will be a lot faster and none of the maps will exit out. Also the movements and textures are more smooth. Now go try de_motel_x and I don't think it will exit out anymore. Hope I could help you! It's very atmospheric and just in time for Halloween too! Oh, BTW my birthday just happens to be on Halloween. For other nice maps I would recommend csde_gimlirats and de_christmas. Have fun! =)

This map totally rocks! Many more servers need to host this map, especially late at night! Theres nothing like running round a damn creepy motel at 3am with some scary ass sound effects playing and heightening the ambience.

well i have the same problm as Papa smurf,it keeps shuting down.
but i have it with almost all downloaded maps.. HELP its a nightmare!!The map is a bit dark.. (and i am in a dark room so ik cant ce very much) But It Looks verry fun!

this map is the best map i ever seen but when i start walking around it shuts down the game and takes me out of counter strike every time. it doesnt have any error messages it just kicks me out of the game. does anyone know why its doing this?

Scary ass map!!! when playin Resident Evil Mode on this lvl! if you dont kno what that is.. it's when you put all the bots on one team and get you and like 2or3 friends and play genst the bots on 100% and put them in Jason mode. the only guns you can use is pistols and pump shotgun! it's aloooot of fun and scary!!

Looks interesting and great to play during Halloween, or anytime you want a good scare! Try playing with PODBots with "omg imhaunted"! :)

i think it's one of the best maps to play on lan!! it's top game play and its top graphics!! this is the one non-standard-map i like most!!
hint: dont brighten up your monitor while playing this map it makes most fun in this dark and spooky ambience!!

About the sprites/sounds/models, easy. Make new folders in Models, Sprites and Sound. Name the new folders xt_motel and place in the files from the zip (they are in the zip) accordingly. Done have fun ;)

Every thing here was great, textures, layout, and everything else. The only complaint I have is that when I was testing it on a LAN game I had the sh1t scared out of me just playin by myself, besides that this map is very nice.

Well designed map, perhaps one of the spookiest maps out there. I have the luxury of having a large clan (35+ members), so we have alot of custom map nights. This did very well, motel x with 24+ is insanely fun. There's alot of places to camp, tons of .wav files playing, and it just looks really kewl. I u bomb bombsite b, a clerk's bell goes off, the other bombsite has .wav from the exorcist playing. Very kewl map, shut off the lights, play it at 3 am in the morning, give it a try, u might not be able to sleep.

One of the best maps I've ever played. The textures and the atmosphere are great, and it's not even a haunted house :)

A awesome map. I don't like the rain, it looks terrible in HL engine.

This map by X-Tender is scary and extremely fun. The texture work and layout have been done very well. Sometimes you feel like your playing Thief! It's packed with paths and detail which gives it a very high replay value. I don't have any complaints about this map other then more servers need to host it!
