I've been playing this map for some time now, more than 2 years methinks. I just wanted to say this map is by far my favorite. After making my own map 6 or so months ago, I've been able to realize the nuances in your map that make it truly great. Keep up the good work and congratulations on being awesome. |

Excellent. Downloaded this map a year ago and finaly the bots work. I think it only works when you get PODBot 2.5 AND Counter-Strike 1.5 and up. Anyways, can't wait till the CSS version is out. Just think of the debree from a granade...tee-shirts anyone? LOL. Brovo Squall. |

Well there are some errors on this map, one really. It's Wal mart with one l . That takes away on the originality a bit but hey its wal mart map! many people are dissapointed that the POD-BOT waypoints dont work and i too.Please anyone tell us where to get the waypoints,,or squall at least make a new POD-BOT waypoints file for de_wallmart,,I put the pwf file in the POD-BOT WPTDefault file and when i start tyhe game it still says no waypoints created for this map PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP and if squall helps we all will give it a good rating and recomend squall under CSM to everyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell us how to get POD-BOT waypoints for de_wallmart |

I wouldn't say I'm great at rating the fine details of maps. But as a mock up of any given Wal-mart, this map is very fun to play. I like maps that aren't too huge but have lots of places to go. |

One of my all time favourite maps, squall has really outdone himself. the guns you can pick up and the terrorist on the can just add some more jazz to the map. I play this every day on my server and i will never get sick of it.

This Map is awesome! The outside side is just like the real store! Going inside is even funner! Especially in the electronics section. I didnt get any walmart hostages!? "blah" That should be included. I was kinda bummed about that part. That would have added a good final touch. So I had to give orginality a 4. Its not complete with out walmart workers! |

A great concept, fairly awesome layout, and it's a playable gimmick map that isn't designed for deathmatching. This rocks. The only thing that's missing (although I may have missed it) are some PA announcements for ambience. "There's a body in aisle 7; clean up on aisle 7!" |

Would it be possible to put in innosant shoppers in Wal-Mart? People that anti-terrorists must avoid killing while shooting terrorists? The same should also apply to terrorists... I found this map when i was looking around on google. This map shows a brilliant setout which is a perfect mirror image of your normal supermarket (cept aldi...). Although i did have a few issues when in coundition zero the terrorist kept on running up at the ventilation shafts on the roof. Overall this is great. It's the best shoppingmarket map you can find. ONE FUNKY MAP HAHAHAH!!! I had so much fun on this map. This is just like a real wallmart (especially the gun section in the back lol). I swear I spent hours just turning on and off the nintendo upstairs in the map. And the Terrorist taking a dump...thats just classic. The whole gokart thingy was great too. Probobally the greatest thing of this map was the WAD textures, they have real actual games in the games section and if you go look somewhere in the back theres a underwear rack that says "FRUIT OF POOP." HAHAHAH. A must have map. |

Hmmm, good map. But I think you wasted too much time on the custom textures and not enough on gameplay, and they look WAY too pixelated. I think you put in the go karts so people will not get bored so quickly, sorry Squall but you've done better maps. By the way with the waypoints someone email me them at submit@niecester.com and ill host it.

Great map but it don't really work well with PODBot. The T with the Bomb gets stuck at the Respawn area and can get boring looking for enemies because this map is SO BIG!
Map was made for Human Players in mind, not Bot. |

Anyone that starts finding "mistakes" in this map has, obviously, never made a map. Map making is a nerve-wrecking, nut-crushing and a brain-numbing thing. A map with detail such as this one truly deserves recognition. I personally think that this map is awesome...the man is good. Keep up the good work dude. |

I really enjoy this map...
1. You can actually drive scooters, or go karts which are really amazing, but there are problems with the scooters, but I'm sure enough it will be fixed in the 2nd wallmart. The running through the vents and watching people trying to save the hosties from the vents is amazing. The textures are great, but there should of been actualy shelves. The whole rectangle thing blows and looks bad. I hope it will be fixed in de_wallmart2 |

Wallmart is a favorable map on our network. As for internet it is a little too large in memory size for time-conservative downloading (Modem (excluding ISDN), Low-Class DSL, Cable, Some Fractional T1). As for the map itself, it is extremely fun. Many interesting "vehicles" to "drive", although they do become stuck easily (which is understandable with most maps). It seems to run very smoothly on Half-Life: Counter-Strike Server on FreeBSD Operating System (running Linux binaries) if you are trying to find a RAM/CPU conservative way to start a game server. I have gotten it to run on as low as a 64MB RAM with 138MHZ with few problems five players (FreeBSD Operating System). |

Since I am a Wal-Mart shopper I totally love this map. From the T on the Potty to the fruit of the poop underwear section I am totally amazed at this map.Excellent work! Being that there was a real shoot out at our local Wal-Mart one time we nicknamed our Wal-Mart "The shooting gallery" and this map is a real winner in my nieghborhood.wish the waypoints worked though,,i had to make my own. -Dm6 |

I love this map, I have read about a new version of this map that is suppose to deal with the issues of the Latency problem due to the rrates. I was woundering when that is going to come out. then I would give it a perfect 5 if it fixxes the little problem that is has. Great map though it is still worth the download and play. |

A very nice map done by Squall (wait, aren't all his map good?). Textures are perfect for this place in every way! You can play video games upstairs (Megaman), check out a guy taking a dump (lol and blow him to bits!) and so many more things(such as scooter riding and hostage saving!). Sorta big for a 2 person battle though... |

This map is very cool... You could do two missions at once. Ts could bomb one of the two bomb sites and could also stop CTs from rescueing hostages. The map has a lot of cool things...u could even drive a racecar and/or a scooter around the place..even on the roof. This is worth the dl...but how come the way points doesn't work? |

This is a great map, i didnt notice much servers with the map, thats sad, but the good thing is this is my favorite counter-strike map ever! i never played Megaman and i dont plan too =( but still, that music has a good beat, i wonder how you got those nice textures (especially poop of the loom) its strange because i dont have cs on this computer, but I still download it to listen to the music! lol |

This map is kool. It feels like being in the real wal-mart, especially the structure of the whole building. However the author could make the goods more real. It seems they were made with some of the same textures. The most fun thing I guess is that fake T. I still dont know what it's for... :P |

well, what i can say is that the map is great, a little overdone with all the entries, gokarts in the parking lot a scooter, vents and all those ladders up to the roof.

Nice map. Downloaded it 4 days ago. The waypoints don't work here. Could someone plz email me and tell me where to find waypoints for de_wallmart? Also, for the person who posts waypoints. Cs_junior map's waypoints don't work either. I think if there should ever be a de_wallmart2 it should have vehicles that are easier to control, and not as much as there were in de_wallmart. The hostages are poorly hidden but besides that the map is good. I can't give it a 5 for originality because I've heard of another map where it took place in a supermarket. |

This map is really tighto, incredibly fun for people who just like to mess around. I wouldnt reccomend it for really serious players but if u have lots of "IMAGINATION" then you can have lots of fun with it. Really fun to mess around with the vehicles and stuff. try it out yo!!! |

Has excellent look that it will convince people to play this map. CT has a minor advantage of camp-countering strategy and it received 4 layouts for that, it would have been better if the textures were brighter, and removed some objects that supports CT to camp. |

This map is tied for first (in my view) as best "Classic" map.
It shares the honor with "de_simpsons" which if u haven't tried it, is awesome as well.

When I first saw this map, I just said, to myself, that it was ok, nice lighting effects outside, and structers. But then I went inside, and was gobsmacked. I was amazed at all the custom textures that he had got/used. The map design is very original, and very good to play. Overall its just great. A classic "squall" map :/

I think this is a very fun map. There are some problems, but fun. One problem is when the bomb gets planted, and all the CTs get killed right when the bomb blows up, the after explosions damage you down to 30 HP. But overall I give it a 5.

This map is very cool. Lots of secret things and the layout deserves a 10. It looks good and its very original because its the only Wall-Mart map. When you play this map with a lot or even a little people, this map is really fun. If you've got a 56k, you might lag depending on the server and it'll be way less fun but other than that its 1 of the best maps. Good lucky Squall on the next Wallmart Supercenter! |

Let me say this must be one of the funnest maps i have evr played. The cars outside (lawnmowers, and scooters) you can not turn unless you have your right andleft arrows set as strafe. You can change that in the controls. It is huge inside, but that is not where most of the action takes place. A must have for any C-S player. Great job Squall. |

Hey man nice map. You guys are going to laugh at this i put it on my server well i'm runing an old IBM Socket7 PC runing at 120mhz with 64mb of ram and 2 1.2gb hard drives and Windows 2000 Pro. Well guess what i've heard that this map lags servers well let me tell ya some thing this server i have here is aslow as can be well i doesn't lag the server at all never had a single problem with it had a ping of around 12 from a nother comp on a 10mb network. Good map guy keep up the good work.

De_walmart is amazing blend of real textures, acutal objects, and two scenarios into one amazing map. De_walmart is simply too fun to play. In fact, when i play on the CSM server, people are having too much fun on the map that they don't want to kill each other. The aisle files are so incredible, and I especially like the elctronic section rack, since I can make out the Diablo games among others. The scooters, cop cars, and Mega Man X6(or 1 or 2?) was a nice touch also. Wallmart employee hostages are authintic and the dust photo station is hilarious. Even down to the cealing and tile floor, THIS IS WALLMART. All its missing are the bins with the smily faces on them. Excellent job Squall! |

I was a little hesitant when my clan mates wanted to try this map. I had played it before and found it boring. Fortunately, we have a clan member named [Walmart]Manager, we call him Wally for short. He was dieing for this map, to represent i guess. Well we played it with a good number of ppl. Guess what, a whole bunch of new ppl started connecting. Yes ppl actually look for this map (via game tiger, etc)... It turned out to be alot of fun... And popular, its not the most downloaded map here for no reason. |

If you don't have this map THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR CS PLAYERS. Its the true wall-mart. There are 2 bomb places and this map has hostages also. There are many secret places and funny things in this map. You can on top of the stalls and on the roof also. You have access to the vents. The toilets are filled with poop(1 stall has a terrorist in the bathroom). This is a pretty big map which you can go all around. A very nice map if you're thinking of downloading it just download it. Its worth it. |

This has got to be one of the best maps I've ever played by far. Not to mention one of the most original. The basic layout is a wal-mart store, the terrorists start in the back customer parking lot, the cts start in the frot (I think). Not to mention being able to ride a scooter al throughout the store, and the fact there is a terrorist reading a paper on the toilet, right next to your bomb spot. The map is very well done, the textures a very nice, and the delorean in the back parking lot is a very nice touch. Not only is the map huge, but it's got loads of replay value. The hostages aren't that hard to find either, which is a relief, and the bomb target is not too hard to find either. Great Map. Like someone previously stated, it is pretty freakin huge, there are quite a few different pathways one could take through the vent shaft, and it gets really dark in there. BUT, that aside, this is one of the coolest maps I've played on; good job. |

This is one of the best maps to come to Counter-Strike. The layout is truly accurate 2 wallmart. Guns hidden in the store add 2 the originality.My favorite parts are the go-carts ,scooters, and the picture of megaman.Suggestion:de_toysrus |

I don't know what this map looks like because it takes me an hour and a half to download it with dial up but it looks awsome and i don't even know if i can play it if it lags on a 1.87ghz processor when i only got 600mhz. I will get the map if anyone will please e-mail me the site to get the waypoints. thanx |

ok this map is awsome but y is it lagging on ur guys windowes my works juss fine in my own serever and no 1 ever lags strange but this map tac is right there should be morel ik it im hoping they would get a flea market or toy r us in here kjuss lik this 1 that be cool and i wis htheres was a concert map that be tight but u gotta love this map the go carts r the best |

The map is a load of fun, but I fail to see why it's such a resource hog. Also I had problems running it on a Windows CS server, but haven't tried it on my new Lnix server. I haven't ran into a single person that didn't like at least one aspect of the map. Word to the T on the T. |

Great map nice look good originality but it lags in every server I have played in.. Even with a 19 ping... 100 fps... on a 1.87 ghz amd xp it lagged... was very surprising... however lol the go carts and scooters make up for it YAHOOO!!!! too much fun... Normally we would not play a map that lagged on our server but that map was far too fun.. |

While this map is relatively decent I can not say that it is fantastic. The texturing job, while relatively true to wallmart is very blurry and pasted repeatedly to the point it looks fake. The layout is true to most wallmart stores I have been in, although I can't say the roof and the side of the store are all that realistic. The driveable vehicles are just dropped into the map to add a little something extra to do. As far as originality is concerned I can't say this map is all that original as if I remember correctly it was done previously in a map about Aldi food centers.

I love Squall's maps! There's only on thing I don't get! How come every time I download this map, I NEVER get the Wallmart Hostages? Meh... Good map.. Awesome Textures, Zero's theme was a good touch.. as well as the SNES, playing Megaman X 6. It's a very origional map.. good for hours of fun! If you haven't tried it, then... well.. JUST TRY IT! |

This map is very orginal. I don't know how Squall got the idea. The map layout and look is excellent. You can travel through the vents, go in the bathrooms and you can go on the roof. The map is pretty big and many places to go through. |
